Glacier 3000

Cableway, architecture, adventure and Alpine mountain scenery – visitors experience all of it and then some on this journey to a unique glacier world.

Already the first glimpse of the summit station designed by architect Mario Botta is spectacular. Immediately, a stunning panorama of no fewer than 24 snow-capped 4,000-metre giants reveals itself: Eiger, Mönch, Jungfrau, Matterhorn, Grand Combin and even Mont Blanc in the distance.

Arrival: PostBus from Gstaad or Les Diablerets to Col du Pillon, then aerial cableway to the summit station Glacier 3000
Timetable: Operates daily in 20-minute intervals

Attractions: Peak Walk by Tissot – the world’s first suspension footbridge spanning two summits, sledge dogs, snow bus, hiking on the glacier plateau, Alpine Coaster (highest toboggan run) climbing park Gemskopf, summer loipe (cross-country ski track) and helicopter glacier flight
Food & beverage: Summit restaurant with a view over the glacier plateau to the Alps of Valais, Refuge l'Espace (mountain lounge) next to the “Quille du Diable” with a view down 1,400 metres to Derborance
