Thanks to the innovative luggage services of Swiss public transport, international guests catch their train shortly after arriving at Zurich Airport. Selected luggage and flight luggage services come with a handy “door to door” (hotel to hotel) option. Carefree travelling indeed.

From any airport around the world, the guest’s luggage travels via Zurich airport to its destination railway station or hotel in Switzerland.

Flight luggage from foreign airports to a Swiss train station

Regardless of which airline passengers have chosen and from which international airport they arrive in Switzerland: Via Zurich airport, their luggage travels to a selected destination station – all thanks to the “flight luggage foreign airport to station” service.

The service option “luggage door to door” offers maximum convenience. The luggage may be handed over at the hotel in the morning and is waiting for the guest at the destination hotel in the evening the very same day. This service is provided at 20 Swiss tourism hotspots.

Many groups travel through Switzerland by tour coach. The most common argument against travelling by train, bus and boat is the issue of luggage transportation for an entire group. With the incentive of an attractive group luggage offer, groups are hoped to be won over to Swiss public transport.

Express Door-to-Door Group Luggage

Express Group Luggage door to door is available for groups from 10 persons with a maximum of 50 pieces of luggage travelling in Switzerland by train, bus and boat. This offer is available for luggage shipments between any Swiss address including Zurich Airport. Booking, transport and payment is handled by SBB AG.

  • Collection between 07.00h and 09.00h (Zurich Airport until 11.45h) guarantees delivery by 19.30h the same day
  • Price per transport CHF 300 (net price without commission)
  • Booking is required at least five working days prior to transport date

The passenger’s luggage travels from the hotel or railway station in Switzerland directly to Zurich Airport or the destination airport abroad.

Flight luggage station to Zurich airport

For passengers of all airlines, luggage transport services from 160 Swiss railway stations to Zurich airport are available on the return journey. The luggage must be handed in at the departure railway station the day before their flight departure. Passengers collect their luggage at the SBB railway station counter at the airport (open from 06.30am) and are then responsible for checking-in the luggage themselves.

Flight luggage door to foreign airport with luggage check-in 

Flight luggage is picked up at any hotel throughout Switzerland, transported to the airport and checked in. The offer is available to public transport customers flying with Swiss, Edelweiss, British Airways and other selected airlines. After the luggage is collected, customers will receive digital flight luggage receipts from AirPortr and will be kept up to date by SMS texts, e-mails and a personalised tracking link.
